Work Your Strengths is Now Available
Ever felt like you’re not in your ideal career? That you’re not utilizing your strengths or performing at the best of your ability? You may not be alone.
Chuck Martin, best-selling author of SMARTS (Are We Hardwired for Success?), has a new book coming out that defines a scientific process to identify your skills and match them to the best career.
After a pioneering 2-year study, Martin and his research team identified the strengths and weaknesses of thousands of high performers and found a correlation between job function, industry type and department based on these skills. With Work Your Strengths, you can compare your strengths and weaknesses to high-performers in varying positions to find the perfect career fit.
The strengths and weaknesses are based on an individual’s Executive Skills, which are brain functions or cognitive skills that neuroscientists have located in specific regions of the brain, primarily the frontal lobes. The term Executive Skills refers to the brain-based skills that are required for humans to execute, or perform tasks and manage behavior. There are 12 Executive Skills and people typically have two or three strongest Executive Skills and two or three weakest. The book shows how to find and play to your strengths.
Martin’s new book is published by AMACOM/American Management Association. To read more about the book, please see the link below. For any additional information please contact chuck@nfiresearch.com
